The FA's Respect Campaign

This is an important message for all our players and parents. The Harrogate and District League have recently signed up to comply with the FA's respect campaign. That means one or two changes on match days for our U11, U12 and U14 squads (our U10's play in the York league).
The Respect campaign will be discussed in more detail at our Parents meeting on the 31st January at Scotton Village hall, but the main points are:

The Respect Campaign is a continuous programme to improve behaviour on the pitch and on the sidelines in and at matches throughout the country.

The emphasis is on 4 areas:
1. Respect the clubs codes of conduct and abide by them
2. There will be designated spectators areas with a cordon between spectators and the pitch
3. The captain will take responsibility for their players actions and behaviours
4. There will be a drive to enhance Referees skills enabling them to deal with any problems before they become issues.

As a club Scotton Scorchers are proud of all our players, spectators, referees and coaches behaviour and we are supportive of the Respect campaign which is designed to encourage the right behaviours across junior football, thank you for your continued support.
