Fabulous double for U 10's

The U 10s completed a double over Stamford Bridge Scorpions on Saturday, winning both the league game and the friendly by the odd goal in two thrilling matches.
In the league game girls performed superbly in the first half with lots of shots from the left foot of Olivia Firth and chances for Jess and Victoria and then Saffy managed to squeeze a shot past the Stamford keeper and we turned round at half time 1-0 up. Stamford were always threatening on the break although Scorchers were the more dominant team, Lizzie made some excellent saves throughout and both Charlottes performed heroically in defence as the Scorpions searched for an equalizer, which thety eventually got courtesy of another breakaway. The Scorchers were not to be denied, however and with Eleanor prompting from midfield on her debut, Saffy managed to bundle the ball bravely over the line for her second and the winner!
The friendly turned into a seven goal thriller, with Rose and Georgie scoring their first goals of the season (well done girls) which were added to by Victoria (lovely chip) and Charlotte Mc. ( nice strike). Thhe goals came on the back of a great defensive effort to deny the Scorpions best player from Molly, Elizabeth in goal and out on pitch, Amelia, and Lizzie. The player of the Day was Sophie for her running and tireless effort and her birthday!
Its fair to say we were all delighted and the girls efforts were well rewarded.
This Saturday we entertain Brayton Belles in the Cup, 10.30 kick off at the Cricket Club.
Well done girls!
