U11 end season with defeat against unbeaten Celtic

The regular season ended with a very close game away at Knaresborough where unfortunately we were unable to recover from conceding a goal in the first minute to lose narrowly 2-0 on the day.

The performance of Scotton was fantastic and we deserved to get something out of the game but despite several good chances, including hitting the post and having one cleared off the line, we could not find our way through.

The first half started badly when the player that we had identified as their most dangerous player found the ball in a great position and finished from 10 yards. Ella was then given the job of marking this player throughout the game and she did this brilliantly as well as creating chances for the front two with some great passing when she won the ball.

At 1-0 down at half time we were still in the game and we continued to press in the second half but without success. Knaresborough made it 2-0 mid way through the half to effectively seal the game and despite a lot of hard work we were unable to recover.

Great performance however against a side that has won every game in the league this year.

Well done to all
