Leeds Amazones 0 V 12 SCORCHERS
Sunday afternoon saw a large turnout for a good game of football played between two great friendly sides.
Straight from kick off the Amazones girls looked like a very well drilled team with their positional sense and some good passing but once the scorchers got into their stride the goals started to come.
In the first half one goal from Molly and a brace from Georgia T meant the girls went in at half time 3-0 up.
In the second half as the 'amazonians' started to tire the goals really started to flow.
Every single girl had a great game today and despite moving players around to lesser familiar postions the girls played some wonderful football and retained possession and also defended very well. Well done to amazones for sticking to their task and not letting their heads go down, they kept coming back and kept trying for a goal but unfortunately for them the scorchers defence was in a miserly mood and kept another clean sheet.
So the final score was 12-0 with final goals tallies for players: Georgia T 4,Georgie R 3,Rebecca S 2,Molly 2 and Jayde 1.
Another 3 points puts the team back joint top of the league.
Georgia T picked up player of the match for another great game and even having a stint at right back.
