Super Saffy the Seaside Heroine!

This Saturday we were grateful for mild and sunny weather as we travelled to the coast for a clash with Cayton.
We were physically bigger and faster and made it pay in the first half going 2-0 up and looking comfortable.
Georgie and Saffy linked up for the first and then Saffy followed up Jess's shot and tucked the ball in as the keeper fumbled. A defensive lapse just before half time meant we were under pressure in the second half although we created a number of good chances.
Lizzie made two critical saves towards the end and Charlotte Mc and Vicky defended wonderfully well. Going forward Olivia and Jess both had shots saved as did Amelia and Georgie. Saffy was thew player of the match for her priceless 2 goals, she now has 6 in the league!
In the friendly game we again dominated and won thanks to a fine strike from Vicky.
Afterwards the girls enjoyed a treat of Fish and chips on Filey seafront to celebrate our first league win of the season, thank goodness it was warm!
Next week we host Tockwith at the Cricket club hoping for another win!
Meet 9.30 - 9.45 at the cricket club for pre match training. Kick off is at 10.30
