Railway v Scorchers U13

Scorchers league campaign commenced at Railway with Scorchers being caught early on with two quick goals (inside 4 minutes) despite this the girls showed real determination to 'stop the rot' only conceding 1 more goal in the remaining 21 minutes. In the second half Philippa was outstanding at the heart of the defence and with Melissa off injured the scorchers dug in and really took the battle to Railway. Another excellent defensive performance with the midfield winning many tackles and breaking down attacks. Goalscoring chances were rare but Shannon and Abbie worked really hard but couldnt quite get that final shot in on goal.
