Pannal Sports V Scotton Scorchers U13

This cracking encounter showed just how much the girls have improved this season, playing some great football. There were a number of great performances as the girls took on last years champions. Daisy make some great saves and the extra work she has done on distribution has paid off. Rebecca at left back put in a battling display making timely interceptions on a number of occasions. Philippa, played one of her best games as she played with real comitment, but also covering players and getting back when required. Emily won player of the day with a real captains performance, covering the whole pitch, with great heading and attacking in to the opponents half and also keeping her cool when provoked. Melissa also in midfield worked hard and also had three attempts on goal, the best one just going over the bar. Haley playing a sweeper role, had a good game leading the defence and cutting out Pannal#'s attacking threat. Finally our strikers Kayleigh and Abbie worked extremely hard keeping Pannal on their toes. The team did run out of energy in the last 5 minutes conceding two late goals, with further practice and comitment in training this can be improved upon. Well done girls.
