U 10's - Another long away trip

The U10's were away to Fulford on Saturday. The parents learned the inadequacies of Sat Nav but once we all arrived...... the girls performed magnificently and although pushed back in the first half we held our own and managed some good shots on goal, although we turned round 1-0 down. In the second half player of the day Lizzie produced some wonderful saves and distributed well, while Olivia was magnificent as our last line of defence, alongsie the hard working Charlotte H. We battled well in midfield with Jess, Charlotte M and Sophie running their socks off to support attacks and help out defending. Up front Ella took on the opposing defence and but for great saves could have had a hatrick, while Victoria literally ran herself into the ground. In the end we couldn't quite cope with the pace and power of Fulford and lost 3-0.
In the friendly Georgie showed great pace and determination up front with Amelia who came so close to scoring when her shot shaved the post. Elizabeth produced the moment of the day with a quite fantastic save from a point blank shot. Rose and Molly were solid in defence but again the pace ad power of the opposition showed and we went down 2-0.
Well done to all the girls and parents, the progress is visible! We have a bit of a break now with training next Saturday (9.45 cricket club), then a friendly against Ripon at home on Nov 1st.
Finally Happy birthday to Charlotte M enjoy the party!
