Cold, tough day for u. 10's

The girls braved the cold and windy conditions at Stamford Bridge on Saturday morning. In the first game we lost 5 - 0 although nobody quite knew how! Even their coach stated it was the most competitive game they'd had! Basically we had no luck in front of goal and their keeper played exceptionally well, while everything they hit seemed to go in mostly off one post or the other. Both Jess and Victoria had fine games as did Ella who was quite brilliant at times and Saffy. Olivia was her usual dynamic self at the back and when we had to make running repairs to Charlotte H's finger Georgie provided excellent cover!
In the 2nd game Stamford bridge had the same team out so we were a little fearful but the girls got stuck in andgave them a real battle! Again we suffered cruelly in front of goal and couldn't score but only concededonce in a fantastic display. Georgie was player of the day and Charlotte Mc. and Molly were magnificent at the back with Elizabeth, Lizzie and Sophie covering every inch of ground in midfield. ROse linked up with Georgie at every opportunity and the league leaders got a real fright.
The post match sausage and chips were very welcome and we're scheduled for some luck in front of goal. This Saturday we host Poppleton - 10.00 Kick off at the Cricket club. See you all there
