Next week, 2nd May, we will be training as normal 9.45 – 11am at the cricket ground. The girls will be asked to nominate their Player of the Year for the “Players player of the Year" award at the prize giving at the end of the season.
9th May will also be training, I won’t be there as I am on an FA coaching course but Ian and Steve will be taking training. We will be having a friendly against the U12’s who are also in the cup final so we can both get some good match practice.
16th May is the cup final day at Ripon. Details of when our match is scheduled are yet to be announced but we will be taking the U11’s and U12’s on a coach from Scotton. There may not be room for all parents etc. but hopefully we can get all the squads there on the coach. We then plan to go back to the Dam Yankee, to hopefully celebrate our success in the cup. I will send details as soon as they are available.
In the lead up to the final I am proposing a friendly on Monday 11the May with a 6.45 kick off at Harrogate Railway (playing away, probably at Woodlands School) PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS GAME. I NEED FINAL NUMBERS BY THURSDAY THIS WEEK.
23rd May is the fun day when all the squads get together on Percy fields for a battle of the football nations, followed by a BBQ. This is the scheduled end of the season but we may continue to 6th June as we have a football tournament on Sunday 14th June in York which we will need to prepare for.
Finally, remember to get your entry forms in for the Knaresborough Fun Run on Sunday 10th May and try and get some sponsors to raise funds for the new pavilion.
Regards
Richard
