U15's Match Reports

Scorchers 5 Wetherby 0

Another good performance for the Scorchers against a Wetherby team who just had enough players to field a team but who played some terrific football and were in the game until the final 15 minutes. The Scorchers passed the ball well, and got forward in numbers at every opportunity. The defence was solid and a clean sheet (the first this season). Goals came from strikers Jamie (2) and Caroline (2) and gorl of the game Abby G, who created chance after chance and got her reward with a lovely solo goal. Well done to all the team.

Scorchers 0 Wilberfoss 2
A close and competetive encounter with both teams near the top of the league. The Scorchers had plenty of chances but just couldnt take them. An all round strong team performance, resolute defending and some fabulous attacking play.

Scorchers (U13/14) 1 Beckwithshaw 3
A great friendly matched saw a strong Beckwithshaw take on a combined U13 and U14 Scorchers team. This was a great opportunity to see how the U13's coped on a large pitch (and large goals) against strong opposition. All the girls played some terrific football. For our U14 players it was a chance to try out different roles and again they all did well. Naimh got the Scorchers goal, with a real cracker and the Scorchers took the game to Beckwithshaw. However as the game unfolded the experience of Beckwithshaw told and they evened things up before grabbing 2 more as our girls tired. A great success for both squads.

Scorchers v Beckwithshaw U11/12
Again a chance to play a mixed age group, with Scorchers fielding players from U12 and U11 squads. Three great games saw a draw and a win for each team (i think!) All the games were played in great spirit with flowing football from all the girls. Another great exerecise.
