U10s First 'League' Match V Knaresborough Celtic

Despite a wet chilly morning Scotton and Knaresborough girls played out an enthralling game with great enthusiasm and smiles.
'Celtic' started the quicker and soon got into a lead but Scotton managed to comeback and draw level with their great passing game.
The score went back and forth and both sets of managers didn't know where we were with the scores but Ida our referee kept count thankfully.
All of the girls from both teams got equal playing time and every single girl had a great game.
'Celtic's' keeper pulled off some great full length saves which got some great applause from the spectators.
The Scorchers girls swapped their positions around at regular intervals and still managed to keep their passing game going. Each week they are looking more and more like a team.
Goals today came from Connie (4) Olivia (2) and Ella R (1) and Girl Of the Game went to Megan who had a fantastic game in goal.
Captain of the team was Isa who did a fantastic job of cheering on her team even when not on the pitch.
In the end the Scorchers came out winners by just a couple of goals.
Well played Scorchers!!

Thankyou to Knaresborough for a great game and well played and a big thankyou to Ida Kemp for refereeing today.

WELL DONE EVERYBODY INVOLVED AND HOPE YOU'VE ALL MANAGED TO GET WARM NOW!!!

                                                      GO SCORCHERS!!
