England Star Shines for Scorchers!!!!

Leeds United and England U19 star Sophie Walton came down to meet the Scorchers girls on Saturday, after a short chat and question and answer session she then joined in a friendly match with the girls playing for whichever team was in possession. Sophie named Madelin player of the day for an outstanding goalkeeping display and then to the girls delight gave the Scorchers two of her England shirts signed and previously worn at the U19's European Finals where England went all the way to the final before being beaten by Germany. Sophie also donated her signed football boots for the club to raffle to raise funds. All the girls and parents gave Sophie a great round of applause and i am sure we will be seeing Sophie at Scorchers again before the end of the season and certainly at the England game at Harrogate town on the 30th October (please see separate posting).
