Fine Fotball From Scorchers

Scorchers girls fielded a mixed age team against Wetherby on Saturday, playing two exciting games. Kayleigh was on traget again deservedly scoring after some fantastic attacking runs, with the Wetherby keeper pulling off a number of saves. Emily and Madeline stepped in to the team and up two age groups. Madelin playing her debut game first in goal where she was outstanding before also having a run out in attack. Emily also brilliant in goal receiving applause from all supporters, then also having a run in defence where agin she did a great job. Rebecca was great at left back doing well after being poorly most of the week and playing on with a slight injury. Caitlin gave her usual battling performance and Imogen was unlucky not to find the back of the net on two occasions. Abbie worked tirelessly up front creating space and getting in to a number of attacking positions. In defence Hannah gained valuable experience settling in to the game and making some telling tackles. All the girls did really well. Final scores Scorchers 1 Wetherby 2 and Scorchers 0 Wetherby 3.
