WHAT A GAME!
On a nice and wide pitch today some great football was played between two teams trying to keep the game beautiful. It was a fantastic team effort in which again every girl played their part.
From riah and jayde who shared the goalkeeping duties right through to georgia T who scored a fantastic hat-trick all the girls gave it everything.We had a great debut this season from sine who was a rock in defence and rebecca C coming on as a replacement striker played magnificently. Again the midfield duo of molly and georgie R worked tirelessly and we had some polished performances from our defensive trio of rebecca S, hannah and player of the match Ellie who had a great game topped off with a SCREAMER of a goal from 25yards out!
Scotton raced into a half time lead of 4-1 and were looking the better team but in the second half Old Mods came back at scotton and started to even up the score. Even so scotton still looked good on the counter attack and unfortunately squandered a couple of one and one's with the old mods keeper,who for the record played outstandingly.
So come the final whistle old mods had drawn level and a share of the points was fair in another fantastic game of football from the girls.
Who knows on another day?
