U14's Scorchers Strong Performance

The U14's were in action again, playing Wetherby in a really close game. The girls played some of their best football to date in these two fixtures. Daisy, Philippa and Haley all played well in goal, and also did well when playing outfield. Haley, played solidly in defence, made some fantastic passes switching play in attack and getting player of the day, Philippa, showed again why she is keeping her place in defence and Daisy played really well at left back, making some great key tackles. Olivia played at right back getting the ball forward well and having only just started playing looked remarkebly cool on the ball. Kayleigh played predominantly in attack and whilst struggling to score at the moment will start to hit the goal trail again soon. Rebecca played in defence and again made some solid defensive challenges. Abbie played in most areas of the field and again showed just how fast she is, with a little more composure she would have scored today. Shannon got player of the day for a great all action performance and a long range goal that gave Scorchers the draw they deserved. Imogen worked very hard and scored Scorchers first goal, getting her first of the season and getting joint player of the day.Melissa played up front leading the line well and again was unlucky not to score, just not making full contact with the ball at the key moment. Finally Rosie who played her first Scorchers game and what a game too setting up the first goal with a great run. The girls played really well today and keep improving!! Thanks to Wetherby who stepped in at the last minute to play these games and also helped out with the refereeing, a great job, thanks.
