A great game of football was played out at ripon this morning between two great sides.
Proving what tough opposition they will be in two weeks time for the semi final ripon were a well organised and resilient side to break down.
In the first half a well balanced scotton side were passing the ball around very well but couldn't quite make the finishing touch. On reflection scotton had the better of the play but no goals to show for their display so the teams went in 0-0 at half time.
Again a little bit of juggling of the side and off we went for the second half which carried on in much the same way. The girls were desperate for that first goal and with one of many great flowing moves they forced an own goal from a very unfortunate ripon player. So one goal and a bit of breathing space, a few more position changes and with Georgia T getting the better of her marker(who stuck to her the whole game!) a great turn and finish which put the team 2-0 up this is how the game finished.
A great game of football in which every player played their part (from both sides),plenty of the crowd voiced their admiration of both teams and how well all played.
Again another difficult decision today as they are all players of the match but this was awarded to Jayde for great display in goal and then later in the outfield, well done jayde.
Another three points well done girls, training next week before the semi final the week after.
