With a number of players away Scorchers still managed to put together a committed team who played with real enthusiasm. Daisy pulled off a number of good saves and is coming to terms with the 'big goals' Philippa, Olivia and Rebecca marshalled the defence, with Shannon and Emily playing some terrific football in midfield. Up front Abbie as the loan striker had limited chances but had one real chance having beaten the defence charging down on the keeper the ball just ran away before making contact for a certain goal, with the keeper beaten, keep going Abbie, still time for a goal or two! Olivia got forward well geading the ball on one occasion! and received girl of the game for a great tackling and attacking performance. Railway played the ball around well and Shannon must have travelled as far as the ball as she worked tirelessly to stop Railways passing. The girls played well today but couldn't get that goal they deserved.
