This Saturday we enjoyed a welcome change of fortune as we held a good Fulford team to a 0-0 draw. After last week we switched things round a nd it worked for us with Vicky having a storming game in defence with Charlotte H and Charlotte Mc giving added bite in midfield with Jess. Although Fulford had us under pressure for much of the game Saffy and Ellie always posed a threat up front as did Georgie when she came on. Amelia carried on the determined approach as she came off the bench in the second half.
Player of the match Lizzie had a fantastic game in goal staying calm under pressure and clearing her lines to great effect time and again.
The most pleasing aspect was the teamwork of the girls and the determination shown by them all, we got the result our efforts deserved and claimed our first point of the season.
In the friendly we were able to show our class and won 3-0 against their reserve team with 2 goals from Ellie and 1 from Saffy set up by Georgie who had a fab game up front as did Amelia who carried on her determined tackling performance!
Really well done girls I'm so proud of you!
