A couple of frustrating weeks for the U 11's. We lost 4-0 to top of the league Popplton having only been 1-0 down but crucially switching off for 5 minutes in the second half and conceding 3 quick goals. This was a huge shame as for the rest of the match we were very competitive and created chances.
Similarly this week we were very competitive against Stamford Bridge except for a 5 minute spell in the second half where we conceded 3 goals, up to that point we were drawing 2-2 and looking good. Saffy was player of the match for her first half display i goal and then coming out and netting 2! We were delighted to welcome back Ella who slotted in as if she'd never been away and combined equally well with Saffy and Ellie. If we can cut out the 5 minutes 'switch off' we will turn these teams ovr. In the friendly, as last week, we dominated and ran out 2-1 winners with goals from Ellie and Ella. Well done to all for their efforts, we're getting there! Also a huge thanks to Richard and Simon for refereeing for us the last 2 weeks, much appreciated
