The first half started slowly with both sides matching each other pushing for goals. Two good saves from Jayde kept the score sheet empty. As the half wore on Scorchers started to dominate with several shots at Stamford's goal. Finally, after a scuffle in the goal mouth, Georgie managed to knock one in past their goalie.
The second half started with a rejuvenated team, at last they were ahead. Stamford hardly got near the goal with inspired defending from, Ellie, Becky C, Emma, Becky S and Riah. After a strong run by Georgia and a shot, which hit the post, Georgie was on hand to put it away for goal number 2. Not long after, a similar run by Georgia followed by a shot from 30 yards out made it goal 3. Katie and Jayde were on hand providing support and passes to the forwards. Next goal was one of Molly's dashes through the defenders to knock the ball past the goalie. Final goal was by Molly again with a sprint though their players to shoot and hit the goalie who couldn't hang on to the ball and it went over the line.
