In the away fixture we had seen a great game with goals galore and a final score of 3.2. So we expected and got a challenging game. The Scorchers started the brighter but it was Celtic who went 1 nil up after a rare mix up in defence. However the Scorchers bounced back with prolific (and leagues) top scorer Caroline hitting a first half hatrick. The team were tremendous and all the squad were involved in a great performance. Caroline grabbed 2 more and Emma got on the score sheet to see the Scorchers finish the City of York League in a creditable 4th.
Scorchers v Beckwithshaw - Friendly
To round off the season we played an u13 Beckwithshaw team, playing our U13's where we could to give them a match against similar opposition. Beckwithshaw also took the opportunity to give new recruits a game. The three fixtures were all well contested and all the girls had a great morning. Most notable was Alyson who stepped out from goal to hit 5 goals! Well done girls another great squad performance.
