The girls welcomed back Riah & Hannah for the evening and Lowenna & Emily also stepped in again to support the team.
The girls didn't exactly start off like a house on fire but they were holding strong at the back and keeping Ripon at arms length.
It took a wondeful run of nearly the full length of the pitch from Hannah down the right and a great shot which was parried by the ripon keeper but Scotton's very own 'Van Persie' (GT) was on hand to sweep the ball into the net to put the girls 1 nil up.
This is how it stayed going into half time.
In the second half Ripon looked more likely to score than the Scorchers but some great saves in goal from 'The Cat' kept them out and could prove to be vital come the end of the season.
Anyhow the girls showed why they have had the best defensive record at their age group for the last 4 seasons and held out to keep another clean sheet and come away with the 2 points.
Girl of the game went to Becky C for her determination and encouragement of the team. She never gave up even when she was dead on her feet despite covering the whole pitch.Well done Becks, this is the standard the girls will require for the last 2 remaining games.
