The day after the club Fun/Presentation day a number of the GU12
squad took the opportunity to play in the annual Harrogate 6 a side tournament
held by Killinghall Nomads.
The girls were up against some very strong sides including
NE Leeds, Ilkley and Killinghall etc.
On the day everyone gave 110%, Grace had a faultless
performance in goal, the defence of Katie, Anya and Amy kept out most of the
attacks to keep it really tight. In midfield skipper Danni, Emily and Ellie C
worked tirelessly up and down the pitch and covered every blade of grass. Up front
Hannah worked hard to create space and always looked a threat.
As a result of the above we made it to all the way to the
final where we faced the hosts Killinghall Nomads. A very tight matched ensued which then went
into extra time. As the game looked to
be heading towards penalties the ball broke to Emily in midfield who looked up steadied
herself and hit a long range effort that nestled into the bottom corner. Cue
bedlam from all the Scotton players!!!!!!!
In all we
played 8 games, lost none and did not concede a single goal. . Grace “safe

A fantastic team performance where we played some excellent football
going forward and looked incredibly tight at the back
