Tockwith V SCORCHERS U10

On saturday 14th Feb the U10s ventured out to Tockwith for a friendly match.
The weather was favourable (although definitely not boiling!) and the pitch was immaculate, you can see why their groundsman is an award winner.

The girls played 7 a side against a very good Tockwith team and both sides played some fantastic football. The scorchers girls were passing the ball superbly and switching play from one side to another and this was being countered by some great dribbling and attacking with pace from the Tockwith girls.

Both teams scored some great goals but there could have been even more if it wasn't for some fantastic goalkeeping from both goalkeepers. Forgive me I can't remember the score but Tockwith came out eventual winners but the Scorchers went home happy with some valuable game experience under their belts and they continue to improve week on week.

The improvement for the Scorchers girls is very clearly evident and it is not just individually the girls are improving but also as a team they are getting better.

So as ever, smiles all round from everyone and a big thankyou to Tockwith for the invitation and warm hospitality.

Scorchers girl of the game was Sophie Keith for a fantastic game out on the left hand side of the pitch and also when she went in goal with some brilliant saves. Karen Bardsley watch out!!

                                                                 GO SCORCHERS!!!!
