On one of the better mornings of the season, it was dry and not as cold!, Fulford welcomed the scorchers girls with warm cups of tea and homemade soup.....oops sorry back to the football.
The foxes have a lovely flat pitch to play football on and this was good for the Scorchers girls and helped them with their fluid passing play and early on they nearly grabbed the first goal through a great run from Ella R but alas it was deemed to have not gone over the line.
This seemed to stir the foxes from the comfort of their den and they then turned the pressure on to the Scorchers and grabbed a couple of good goals to go into half time in the lead. All the girls had been working really hard and despite swapping Megan and Jess' positions they both played brilliantly in not their normal roles, well done you pair.
In the second half the scorchers swapped positions and allowed all the girls plenty of game time in various positions but they just couldn't quite get that elusive goal whilst the Foxes of Fulford grabbed one more to take the win.
So all in all another great mornings football from both teams played in a great spirit and finally decent weather!
Scotton's girl of the game today was Olivia for sticking to her task in a tough game and she kept going all game and led the line brilliantly for her team, well played Olivia.
Thankyou to Trevor and his girls for today's game organised at short notice and we hope to see you all again soon as I'm sure you'll all agree from looking at the photos everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
GO SCORCHERS!
