U12s York RI 4 v 2 SCORCHERS

On another lovely morning for football the U12s travelled across to York RI with just the 7 players this week so a complete switch around of positions was required.
The scorchers started quickly and ella fired the girls into a 1 nil lead in the opening minutes but York RI battled back and by half time had drawn level.

The scorchers looked very tired by half time and with no subs available and with Jess sustaining an injury to her hand the scorchers started the second half with just 6 players and the tiredness took its toll and York took the lead to go 2-1 up.

These are tough girls though and Jess came back on half way through the second half and helped the scorchers equalise with ella scoring again.
Alas though the fixture pile up and lack of weeks availability for training took its toll and the scorchers girls tired and this allowed York to gain the lead and eventually they ran out winners 4 to 2.

So well played to everyone again, hopefully we may get a break in the fixtures soon to go over a few learning points from games and this in turn will help us to develop our players. Do not worry though all games are good experience and we will discuss the games with the girls and focus on all the positives.

The main thing for the girls to focus on is trying to improve each week and playing with a smile and without fear.

Girl of the game for Scotton was Connie for another all round action filled performance, this girl really is star, well played.

Thankyou to York RI for the hospitality and Sausage sandwiches in the clubhouse afterwards.

                                         GO SCORCHERS!
